Before we could start framing the floor, we needed to prepare the trailer to provide protection from moisture, pests and road hazards. This was accomplished by installing sheet metal flashing. The flashing was applied directly to the metal frame of the trailer with adhesive caulking.
We took a field trip to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore to check out their supply of gently used windows, doors and other construction materials. We found more hidden treasures next door at The Reuse People, including some reclaimed windows we selected for the front face of The Wedge.
